Need some FUNK added to your workout?
I love going to the gym, breaking a sweat and walking out feeling accomplished. BUT, sometimes it is a little more difficult to do! I have a reward system for hitting my goals to keep me pumped (no pun intended!) about working out. I keep my goals going year round and avoid the new years resolutions. I keep them in 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and 1 year increments.
I am a avid apple and ipod user. For my smaller weekly goals, I give myself a music download (1-5 new songs), to keep Cardio exciting! For my bigger goals, I give myself a bigger treat. New running shoes or even a new outfit from san diego fit or deeze fit to break out of the normal Nike wear and bring in some Brazilian funk into the Midwest!
Since cardio is my least favorite activity, I like to change it up. From hot yoga to keeping an eye on my heart rate, keeps me going and pushing myself. I have goals to keeping myself lean and mean, but you have to have fun to keep it going!
